About Me
I am a credentialed multiple subject teacher. I earned a gifted education certificate from UC Irvine and did specialized math education coursework at UC Riverside. I taught at California public schools and worked privately with profoundly gifted children in Silicon Valley, who were accepted as Davidson scholars and at Stanford Online High School at age 12.
I went to Waldorf schools in Germany, England, and France until starting college, and always appreciate finding beauty, art, and self-expression in every lesson.
I am fast-paced by nature, but know how to stop myself and give space. Pause. Breathe. So others can, too.
I have a degree in economics with a minor in psychology. I did course work in child psychology, the neuroscience of learning, neurophysiology, and child development.
Not having been challenged properly myself until I went to college, I understand the frustration, boredom, and pain that arises when the learning environment doesn’t fit the student. I strive to listen carefully and see in real time what excites and challenges your child.
In my spare time, I like to challenge myself and enjoy weight training, swimming, reading almost non-stop, and chasing after my very active seven-year old son.
